Dental care is very important, regardless of a pet’s age, breed, or size. By four years of age, 80% of dogs and cats have developed dental disease that needs professional care.
Our dental services include teeth cleaning, extractions, treatment of oral diseases, and oral surgery. We are equipped with digital dental radiography which allows us to quickly take superb dental x-rays and minimizes anesthesia time for your pet.
At-home dental care is recommended for pets as soon as the baby teeth erupt. To aid in caring for your pet’s teeth at home, we carry a wide variety of at-home care products, including rawhides, prescription food, water additives, oral rinses, and a variety of flavored toothpaste your pets will love. Most importantly, because one size does not fit all, we are available to help you find the best products for your pet and assist you in learning how to provide dental care for your pet at home.
Your pet’s oral health will be evaluated at every physical exam. If a dental cleaning or other oral procedures are recommended, a detailed customized treatment plan will be developed and discussed with you. The dental procedures are either Basic, Moderate or Advanced depending on the level of tartar and gingivitis seen.
You will be called during the dental procedure if the X-rays reveal a need for a higher level of treatment.
Examinations and Consultations
We at CCAH understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet’s health care. Our entire health care team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination to help alleviate serious health problems.

Using state of the art technology, Clear Creek Animal Hospital is able to perform many radiographic procedures to help diagnose your pet’s illness. Currently, Clear Creek Animal Hospital has digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, and ultrasound capabilities. For more complex cases, such as MRI and CT scans, we are able to refer to an imaging facility.
Clear Creek Animal Hospital offers digital radiology, or x-ray to our patients. Digital radiology uses less radiation and the results are available quickly. If needed, the images can easily be sent to a Radiologist or specialist for consultation.
At Clear Creek Animal Hospital, ultrasound examinations are performed using a non-invasive technique that causes minimal stress to your pet and generally does not require sedation. Ultrasounds are typically used to diagnose heart and abdominal issues.
Dental x-rays are an important tool that our veterinarians use to evaluate your pet’s oral health. Digital dental X-rays allow high-quality radiographs to be taken and reviewed tableside, allowing the doctor to evaluate and treat dental disease immediately. This minimizes anesthesia time for your pet. Dental x-rays allow us to see below the gumline and get a clear picture of the tooth roots and surrounding bone. This information is essential in planning the best possible treatment for your pet.
Every patient receiving anesthesia will receive a full physical exam. Bloodwork will be reviewed to evaluate liver and kidney function, as well as your pet’s overall health, and a personalized anesthetic plan is developed for each patient. We will use the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety.
Your pet’s blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, body temperature, oxygen level, and carbon dioxide levels will be continually supervised with human-grade monitors by a dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician. During recovery, your pet will be kept warm and monitored until fully awake.
Our in house laboratory facilities allow us to quickly evaluate your pet’s health. We are able to perform a wide variety of serum chemistries, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize a commercial veterinary laboratory for special diagnostics such as cytology and biopsy. Specialists are also available for consultations at no charge.
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” -Benjamin Franklin
At Clear Creek Animal Hospital, we recommend that all of our patients come in for regular wellness check-ups. Taking care of your pet throughout it’s lifetime requires preventive measures early on. Preventing disease is much easier than treating it, and we at Clear Creek Animal Hospital take pride in educating our clients on what good preventive care requires. We are able to provide all types of preventive medicine for your pets throughout their lifetime.
At Clear Creek Animal Hospital, our doctors can treat a wide range of internal diseases, such as pancreatitis, hypo- and hyperthyroidism, Cushing’s disease, and diabetes. We can perform most diagnostic tests in-house, including bloodwork, ACTH stimulation tests, ultrasounds and radiographs. If needed, we consult with outside board-certified internists, but can usually continue treatment at our hospital.
Online Pharmacy And Home Delivery
You can get just about anything online these days, including your pet’s medications. But do you worry about the integrity of the pharmacy you’re ordering from? You wouldn’t order your own medications online from an unknown pharmacy, so why do the same for your pet?
Clear Creek Animal Hospital is happy to introduce a solution, our own online pharmacy!
We have helpful apps for online pharmacy users that help make ordering and delivery a seamless task.
Our favorite features of our pharmacy include:
- Free shipping for orders over $50.
- ‘Remind Me’ feature that reminds owners when their pet’s prescription is running low.
- ‘Auto Ship’ feature that ships owners their pet’s medications before they run out.
- Specials and coupons to help owners save money on their pet’s prescriptions.
- Secure ordering and the guarantee that veterinary professionals handle the prescription. Not a human pharmacist or a human pharmacy technician.
Here at Clear Creek Animal Hospital we offer microchipping. When a pet and owner are separated, it can be a terrifying situation. The safety of their pet, who will locate them, and how they will be reunited are all concerns for owners. I.D. tags can come off or become unreadable, and pets have been known to escape their collars. A long-lasting answer to this problem that will enable you to find your lost pet is a microchip!
